Scattered Thoughts #2

SCATTERED THOUGHTS #2

There are no accidents

Did you know that if you do not know the name of a song you can type in a few words at Google.com and possibly find it?  Well, after searching for the "who", who sang "God's Promise" Sunday AM on WFUV 90.7 FM, I came to find that Ellis Paul (aka Paul Plissey) was a Boston College scholarship athlete (like my dad), who unfortunately got hurt (question ? - if he did not who knows if he would have gotten into music?) and was sidelined in his junior year.  It was in these sidelined moments where he began picking up his guitar and started playing music and writing songs. His interest continued to grow and to make a long story end he has become one of the most well known folk singers of this era.

OK, so what is the connection?  Well I goggle his web page to find that he will be playing at Watercolors Cafe in Larchmont, NY on Sunday January 22nd at 7 PM.  Now, prior to this past weekend I had no clue who this man was and now he will be playing 10 minutes from my home at a locale  that is a fun place to go to boot!

Things as inconsequential as a song can have the ability to change the direction of ones day (and possibly more - it inspired me to start this blog and share my scattered thoughts).  Take no sign for granted, if it is guiding you to unearth more go for it!  Take notes and share.  You never know who is paying attention!

There are no accidents in life and as the days pass I find the synchronicity of events that have transpired along my journey amazing!  Keep smiling and today maybe you will take a listen to a station you might not ever play.  Who knows what you may discover today!

Paul Ellis's link is the following should you wish to see him sing live :)
